BMW S1000RR 2019
The new BMW S1000RR is one of the most anticipated cars today. Before the EICMA, a series of rumors and images of the car was posted online and received a lot of attention. Previously, the S1000RR also received a design refinement in 2015, notably the reversed headlamp position and the new exhaust.
BMW has broken the tradition of its design in recent years by removing the asymmetric headlights - the "teardrop" type and replacing it with a pair of projector mirrors with daytime LED bands. Y-shaped inlet head separates the head of the car into two separate plates.
However, the overall design of the car is more aerodynamic. The rear frame of the trellis steel tube exposes, creating a seamless fit between the vehicle body and the shorter tail and higher claws. The only feature of the earlier S1000RR that was retained was the two-sided shark fin.
The engine on the S1000RR 2019 is still a 4 cylinder, four-cylinder DOHC 16 valve, but has been completely reset. This engine produces 207 horsepower (8 horsepower) at 13,500 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm.
In terms of technology, in addition to familiar systems such as variable-angle ABS, traction control, anti-pickup control, the new generation S1000RR is equipped with an off-the-shelf, Shift Assist Pro and travel control.
The technology is controlled through a new 6.5-inch TFT color screen, with some gadgets like speed limits in the pit lane or tilt angles. In addition, the BMW Motorrad Multi-Controller system helps the car connect to the smartphone via Bluetooth.
Sale price and time of sale of S1000RR 2019 has not been disclosed to BMW.
