3-wheel vehicles Yamaha Niken GT
Similar to Yamaha's other GT models, the Niken GT is built entirely on the body of the Niken. Yamaha only changed some color details such as the dark blue paint cover and the four yellow shock absorbers. As the name suggests, the Nickel-plated GT is complemented by a series of details for long-distance trips.
The most visible detail is the higher and wider windshield. The car is also equipped with a pair of ABS plastic hips with a capacity of 25 liters with a built-in racks. Seat belts are also upgraded to provide more comfort for both the driver and the passenger.
Utilities such as the 12V DC power outlet and heating steering wheel have also been installed on the Niken GT for the ride through extreme weather.
Like the standard nickel, the GT-GT owns a liquid-cooled 3-cylinder DOHC engine, a 849 cc displacement from the MT-09. This engine produces a maximum output of 115 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 87.5 Nm at 8,500 rpm.
Niken in Japanese means two swords, suggesting a three-wheeled structure with two wheels in front. For smooth operation, Yamaha has adopted the Leaning Multi-Wheel platform for Niken.
This platform utilizes a dual front wheel drive design that allows double-wheeled fork to operate unrelated at the same time. This design brings a whole new feeling to the customers.
Nickel is 2,150 mm long, 885 mm wide, 1,250 mm high, seat height 820 mm. The car uses 15-inch wheels and 17-inch wheels.
In the US market, Yamaha Niken GT will start at $ 17,299 (excluding shipping). This price is more than $ 1,300 more than standard nickel.
