Production stop Suzuki Hayabusa
The first commercially-available motorcycles that can handle a speed of 200 mph (321 km / h) are considered "brand faces" by Suzuki and have held the world's fastest motorcycle in years.
The super-moto was launched in 1999 and a year later, European and Japanese manufacturers reached an agreement to set a maximum speed limit on a motorbike of 300 km / h to avoid a possible ban by the authorities.
Although the exhaustive emissions regulation of this product was issued from January 1 2016, until December 31 its effect was enforced.
Since most countries in the world now adopt European emission standards, Suzuki decided to stop production of this model.
The Suzuki Hayabusa is available for approximately $ 22,000. In the future, it will become a collector.
In the past, many had expected the company to refresh Hayabusa with upgraded engines, even using turbochargers. However, the response of the Japanese motorcycle is Katana resurrection, using the 999 cc four-cylinder engine with long piston stroke from the GXS-R1000 model.
This engine delivers 110 kW at 10,000 rpm, 108 Nm of torque at 9,500 rpm. Of course, it's far from catching up with Hayabusa - the 1.299 cc model with 145 kW.
